Unsurprisingly, speculation over the possibility of West Ham United signing at least one new forward continues to dominate the headlines.

The Sun claim the Hammers are plotting a move for Colombia international Luis Muriel, who has spent the past two seasons in Italy with Serie A club Sampdoria. According to the tabloid's story on Wednesday, Muriel's contract with the Genoa club includes a buy-out clause of £24m.

The Daily Express claim the Hammers have set aside £50m to sign Arsenal pair Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud. France forward Giroud scored 16 goals last season, while England international Walcott netted 19 goals in his 37 appearances as the Gunners won the FA Cup.

Elsewhere, the Daily Express also suggests Everton have reportedly agreed a £7m deal to sign Nigeria international Henry Onyekuru from Belgian side Eupen. Arsenal and West Ham were reported to be interested in the youngster, who finished as joint leading scorer in the First Division A last season with 22 goals. A similar story appears in The Times.
