Ride the slide

The ArcelorMittal Orbit is open for action every day during half-term, from 11am-5pm on weekdays and 10am-6pm on weekends.

The adventure starts with a journey up to the podium, hovering 114.5 metres above the ground for stunning skyline views of London glistening in the winter light.

The fun distorting mirrors are popular with kids as they turn the view upside down and stretch your head to five times the size! Furthermore, let our touchscreens educate the young ones as we point out popular facts about the popular London attractions that make up the stunning London skyline.

Why not take the slide back down to Earth in the attraction that Time Out London deemed the No1 ‘Thing to do’ in 2016?

The Slide at ArcelorMittal Orbit takes riders on an exhilarating ride through 12 twists, loops and curves in the 178-metre long tunnel, which makes it both the highest and longest tunnel slide in the world.

All the fun of the fair

FunFair
Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is the place to be this half-term holiday, with activities to keep the whole family entertained throughout the week.

To kick things off, a Funfair has taken over Stratford Waterfront, with adrenaline-fuelled rides including a roller coaster, dodgems and carousels open from 12noon until 9pm each day.

Admission is charged at £1 per person, with free entry for Under-Threes. The rides operate on a token system, which are available to purchase at the funfair for £1.20 per token or £10 for ten.

A Wristband day will also be in operation on Thursday 16 February, for unlimited rides between allocated times.

Roar on the Lions!

London Lions
Bring your pride and join the crowds as the London Lions, London’s only professional basketball team, have a huge match during February half-term.

The Lions maintained their challenge for a top-four finish and a strong seeding for the end-of-season BBL Championship Play-Offs with a 107-101 win at Plymouth Raiders, but were beaten 84-80 at home by Leicester Riders on Sunday.

Tipping-off next against DBL Sheffield Sharks on Wednesday 15 February, the Lions will take to the court at the atmospheric Copper Box Arena.

Tickets are available now here.

Following on from the success of last year’s event, the Legacy Cheer and Dance show is returning to the Copper Box Arena on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 February, with numerous age groups competing for dancing and stunting glory!
