Premier League 2 clash on Merseyside postponed

West Ham United’s Premier League 2 clash against Everton on Monday night has been postponed due to fog.

The officials at the Toffees’ Finch Farm training ground decided, due to visibility, the match could not be played.

It is the U23s’ second fixture in a row to be called off, after last week’s home London derby game against Tottenham Hotspur was postponed due to the effects of some more adverse weather conditions in east London.

A new date for the Everton game will be announced in due course. Meanwhile, the meeting with Spurs has been re-arranged for Monday 12 February.

The Hammers’ Academy now play their next round of fixtures after Christmas. The Club’s next match in Premier League 2 will be on Monday 8 January after Manchester United, while the U18s face Southampton a day earlier on Saturday 6 January.
