Angelo Ogbonna is calling for more of the same when West Ham United take on Arsenal in their second London derby of the week on Wednesday.
The Hammers saw off the challenge of Chelsea with a terrific performance at the weekend, protecting the lead given to them by Marko Arnautovic’s early goal with aplomb to shut out the Premier League champions.
That came hot on the heels of a similarly solid display at Manchester City, which could have yielded more than a 2-1 loss for the visitors, and Ogbonna says that level of focus is required again when the Gunners come to town.
We are looking at the present, not at what happened today or yesterday. We have to concentrate and step ahead again

“We are already confident – we did really well against Manchester City,” the defender said. “We didn’t get any points that day, but we deserved the result against Chelsea.
“We are looking at the present, not at what happened today or yesterday. We have to concentrate and step ahead again [when we play Arsenal].
“We did a really great job against Chelsea, not just in defending but for everyone. The way Michail Antonio ran in behind was fantastic for us, and for me personally, it was a huge game.
“We’ll need the fans with us too, like they always are. We saw great support from the fans against Leicester and Chelsea and it’s really important to have them behind us.”
