Transfer deadline day inevitably throws up rumours and one to emerge in the Telegraph today surrounds Portugal international midfielder Andre Gomes.
Gomes is currently at Barcelona and this report says West Ham are interested in taking the 24-year-old on loan. Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus are also said to be in the hunt.
Meanwhile, The Sun say the Hammers are interested in a loan for Arsenal's Jack Wilshere.
Sky Sports throw another name into the ring, saying the Hammers are keen on a deal for Lorient's Ghana forward Abdul Majeed Waris.
