Our daily look at the West Ham United stories in the news...
The Sun believe the Hammers could make another move for Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho this week. West Ham have reportedly been frustrated in their efforts to agree a fee for the Portugal midfielder so far, but still retain an interest in him.
Slaven Bilic is said to be keen on making one final push for him ahead of Thursday's deadline.
Meanwhile, the Evening Standard carry quotes from the boss following Saturday's loss at Newcastle, in which he says hard work is the key to turning the team's fortunes around.
He said: "I talked to the guys after the game [at Newcastle] and I said ‘nobody can take us out of this situation but ourselves'.
"There is no other thing to do than to work hard, to dig in and for us to show the quality we have got on paper, on the pitch.”
Finally, Sky Sports say Hammers youngster Jaanai Gordon is training with League Two side Cheltenham Town with a move to the Robins a possibility.
