Our daily look at the Hammers stories making the news...

Thursday's newspapers include more on the rumour that the Hammers are on the trail on Sunderland defender Lamine Kone.

Ken Dyer's Evening Standard piece carries this story, saying a summer bid is in the offing.

Hull City's local newspaper, the Hull Daily Mail, believe the Hammers could make a bid for another defender - Tigers centre-back Harry Maguire.

Meanwhile, Tony Cottee writes in his regular Newham Recorder column that he hopes last weekend's victory over Swansea City will take the 'unnecessary stick' off his former teammate Slaven Bilic.

The Sunderland Echo picks up on Mark Noble's whufc.com interview, in which he reveals that he'll be travelling to Sunderland to support the team even though he is suspended for the game.

Finally, another whufc.com piece is featured in the Evening Standard, with Jonathan Calleri saying he hopes to start at the Stadium of Light.
