Young fans enjoy Junior Hammers party

West Ham United welcomed 200 young Season Ticket Holders to the second Junior Hammers party of the season at London Stadium.

Excited youngsters enjoying their Easter holiday were invited to London Stadium, where they rubbed shoulders with their heroes, took on first-team players at a variety of games and collected autographs and selfies.

With a DJ providing a musical backdrop to the party, Junior Season Ticket Holders played table tennis, Jenga and Connect 4 and James Collins, Diafra Sakho, Jonathan Calleri, Antonio Martinez, Domingos Quina and mascot Hammerhead.

The Junior Hammers party is part of the Club’s commitment to inspire the next generation of West Ham supporters, with thousands of youngsters attending a Family Fun Day and signing sessions at London Stadium throughout 2016/17.

“It’s great that the Club put on events like this,” said Collins, who went on a five-match winning streak on the table tennis table. “It really is great to inspire the next generation of supporters by spending time with them playing games.”

Youngster Ben, aged ten, certainly enjoyed his visit to London Stadium, saying: “I’ve loved every minute of it and to meet James Collins was my favourite part of the day!”

Eight-year-old Season Ticket Holder Max agreed: “We met Toni Martinez and James Collins, who I then got to play table tennis with, which was great. But my favourite moment of the whole party was meeting Diafra Sakho!”

As did nine-year-old Archie, who was lucky enough to play FIFA against the fit-again Senegalese striker, and said: “I’ve had amazing time meeting all these players and to meet my favourite player James Collins was wicked, too.”

The Easter holiday fun will continue with Darren Randolph and Jose Fonte attending signing session at the Romford Store in Liberty Shopping Centre between 2-3.30pm on Thursday 13 April.

The Hammers pair will be posing for photos and signing autographs throughout their appearance in store, giving supporters the perfect opportunity for a memorable selfie.
