Highlights - West Ham United PL2 1-3 Middlesbrough

West Ham United PL2 1-3 Middlesbrough

FT: Scully's late consolation is the last real piece of action at London Stadium and the Hammers' last home fixture of the season ends in defeat and disappointment. The play-off chase continues, but a lot of pressure is now on our last game against West Bromwich Albion...

90: Four minutes of added time to be played at London Stadium.

84: Boro make a change. Junior Mondal comes on for goalscorer Coulson.

82: GOAL! What a hit from Anthony Scully! Superb strike by the sub who crashes it into the far top corner.

81: West Ham are still searching for a goal they deserve. Fletcher wins a free-kick right on the edge of the box...

73: Goal for Boro. It's not our night. Another free-kick is not dealt with and Marcus Tavernier smashes a loose ball in the penalty area past Trott and a last ditch Declan Rice attempted clearance. Three for the visitors.

69: The host have responded well to conceding a second. Kemp races forward again and Fletcher works the keeper with a low drive.

67: Kemp is still trying to make things happen for West Ham. This time, a weaving run ends in him blasting high and wide. But it's good direct football from the former Chelsea man.

65: Goal for Boro. A deep free-kick is not dealt with by a combination of defenders and keeper Trott, and Hayden Coulson gets the final touch to bundle home for the visitors. A mountain to climb for West Ham.

64: Another chance goes begging. Sylvestre picks out a lovely through ball to Kemp, but his cross goes into the keeper's hands.

62: Close call for Nathan Trott! The keeper takes his time with a clearance and is charged down by Pattison. Luckily, the rebound falls straight back to the stopper.

60: Final change on the hour mark for West Ham Anthony Scully comes on to replace Nordtveit.

53: Within an inch of the equaliser! Again it's Powell with the opportunity. Dan Kemp does absolutely brilliantly on the right hand side, cutting onto his left foot and delivering a teasing cross to the back stick. Powell throws himself at the inviting ball, and heads against the inside of the post. So unlucky!

52: Joe Powell has another opening, but the winger's cross-cum-shot is saved by the keeper. The Hammers are probing.

48: Boro have started the second half strongly and have delivered a couple of balls from the right hand side. The Hammers, so far though, are standing strong.

46: Sub for the Hammers as the second half gets underway. Fernandes is replaced by Noha Sylvestre and Nordtveit moves into central midfield.

HT: An attendance this evening of 1,494. Thank you for the support, Hammers!

HT: A frantic end to that half has left work to do in the second half. 1-0 Boro.

45+3: The Hammers race up the other end and almost grab an immediate equaliser! Dan Kemp heads against the bar - the keeper may have even got a touch on that. So close.

45+2: Goal. And it's in. James Husband struck it with power, and it takes a horrible deflection off the wall and wrong-foots Trott. Frustrating for the Hammers who have dominated this match.

45+1: A chance for Boro right at the end here. Free-kick on the edge of the D...

43: More intricate stuff from the Hammers on the edge of the Boro box, but this time the final pass doesn't fall to Fletcher. Just a couple left in this opening half.

38: Excellent football. West Ham work a brilliant opening, as the final pass from Alfie Lewis finds Powell in space inside the box, but the sub hits it straight down the keeper's throat with power. It's batted away, and Boro survive the biggest scare of the night so far.

35: Kemp gets hold of possession again and collides with a Boro defender inside the box, but it was a 50-50 challenge and the referee never looked like pointing to the spot.

32: Dan Kemp again involved as West Ham threaten. The winger, now operating on the right, cuts back a nice low cross but nobody in the middle is on the end of it and it's cleared for a corner. Born just about deal with Powell's set-piece.

28: Havard Nordtveit takes responsibility from a free-kick 20 yards out, but the Norwegian blasts it straight into the wall. Still goalless.

23: What an introduction it is for Powell! The winger receives the ball in an advanced position on the left and, delivering a wicked ball in for Fletcher, the Hammers go close as the forward powers a header just over. Great football.

20: Sub for West Ham. Sam Westley, who has only just come back from injury, is replaced by Joe Powell.

15: Ashley Fletcher somehow keeps hold of the ball with four defenders around him in the box and eventually gets the shot away, but it's quickly charged down and cleared.

14: There's a decent sized crowd in London Stadium to watch the U23s tonight, too. Great to see so many Hammers in support of the Club's future.

9: West Ham race forward and Fernandes' fancy footwork gives Kemp a bit of space to cross. The winger whips it in, and the keeper is forced to flap it away.

8: Boro attempt a free-kick right off the training ground, and Pattison goes down under the challenge of Moses Makasi in the box. The ref shakes his head, and it looked as though the midfielder just tripped over the ball.

3: Early sighter for Edimilson Fernandes, who strikes well from 25 yards but the keeper Pears is equal to the long ranger. Bright start from the hosts.

1: We're off and underway at London Stadium!

6:50pm: Ten minutes to go! Reece Burke makes his eagerly anticipated return from injury this season. He was flying at Wigan Athletic earlier in the campaign but has since been recovering. He'll partner skipper Declan Rice this evening.

6:30pm: So this is the third and final London Stadium fixture for the U23s this season...can they go out with a bang? The pressure's on!
