Payet meets #WHUSKILLS winner

Dimitri Payet made it a day to remember for youngster Nikhil Mohindra who won the #WHUSKILLS challenge.

Mohindra beat hundreds of entries from across the world to win the competition where fans were asked to send in their best skill.

The competition was launched on the Club's Twitter page and the standard was exceptionally high, but Mohindra came out on top.

The winner was given the chance to meet up with Payet at the Club's training ground and was handed an even bigger surprise when the French star had a kick-about with the youngster.

Mohindra says he will never forget the experience and has nothing but praise for the way Payet made him feel welcome.

Mohindra said: “I was really nervous at first when I met Dimitri but it was one of the best days of my life.

“As soon as I found out that I could meet my favourite player I took part. I practice the skill a lot and every day I want to make it better.

“I couldn't believe that I had won the competition and I would love to follow in Dimitri's footsteps. He is certainly the best footballer I have ever seen.”

Payet added: “He is a young lad and so to be able to perform a skill like this shows that he has got good technique.

“He is young and these are skills that are difficult to do and they require a lot of work to pull them off. He has obviously worked very hard to do so.”
