Gale - It was an unforgettable season

Former Hammers defender Tony Gale relished the opportunity to meet up with a number of his former team-mates at the end of last season and will never forget being part of the side that recorded the highest ever finish in the Club's history.

Gale was instrumental in helping John Lyall's side mount a serious challenge for the title back in 1985/86 and forged an unforgettable partnership with Alvin Martin at the heart of the defence.

West Ham had to settle for third place after Kenny Dalglish won the title for Liverpool in the final game of the season, but it was still a magnificent achievement for Gale and his Hammers team-mates.

West Ham TV caught up with the 56-year-old to get his views on the Club leaving the Boleyn Ground and to look back at a memorable spell in east London.
