We All Follow the West Ham!

TV star and Hammers fan Tom Davis can't wait for the new season to kick-off
West Ham supporter Tom Davis is the star of BBC Three hit show Murder in Successville, and ahead of the much-anticipated second series, he looked ahead to the Hammers’ new season with excitement…

Everything is looking good at the Club at the moment. The nucleus of the team is so strong and moving into one of the best stadiums in the country could be enough to push us into the elite.

There is no doubt that next season’s Premier League is going to be at its most competitive with the financial rewards available and moving at this time will ensure that we don’t get left behind.

The new home will be more than just a stadium though – it’s also the people that will fill it week-in, week-out that will make it special. West Ham fans deserve to watch a team succeeding on the grandest stages and now Slaven Bilic has started something special, I simply cannot wait to see it grow and grow.

I’m just excited to now get to Stratford. I’m buzzing at the thought of sitting in my seat for the first time when Juventus come to town!

We were unfortunate last season with all the injuries, especially to Dimitri Payet, Winston Reid and Andy Carroll at unfortunate times. They spent a serious amount of time on the sidelines. If we’d have had a fully fit squad available throughout the whole season, I genuinely believe that we’d have made it into the top four.

The final game at the Boleyn Ground was something else, and for me it ended with a little cry. What an atmosphere and send-off it was. Whatever the future holds at the new Stadium, we’ll always have the brilliant memories from our time at the Boleyn.

Looking at our players during the summer, it’s been fantastic to watch Dimitri Payet performing so brilliantly at the UEFA Euros in France. I’m incredibly proud to see West Ham players impressing on the international stage, and his performances have been on the next level.

When Dimi is on form, he is absolutely unplayable and breath-taking. I’m looking forward to seeing more of the same next season. In my opinion, he’s certainly one of the top ten players in the world right now. Next season, he could be in the top five!

I have as much fun watching the Hammers as I do being a part of the Murder in Successville team. It’s a joy to be a part of and all the crew and cast are like a family now, much like the West Ham family!
