Young West Ham right-back Kyle Knoyle has joined Championship outfit Wigan Athletic on a season-long loan.
 
The 19-year-old England youth international, who joined the Hammers as a 13-year-old, made 15 appearances for the Development Squad last season, before gaining valuable first-team experience on loan at Dundee United.

Having impressed during his time with the Tangerines, where he made eleven appearances, the highly rated full-back has now joined the newly-promoted Latics.

His first competitive game for manager Gary Caldwell’s side could be the opening day of the new season away at Bristol City on Saturday 6 August.

Knoyle is the latest West Ham player to go out on loan, following George Dobson joining Walsall and Jaanai Gordon at Sligo Rovers.
