Slaven Speaks - Southampton

Ahead of Saturday's game with Southampton Slaven Bilic faced the media
Good morning Slaven, you’re on a good run at the moment, how close is this team to where you want it to be?

SB: “We are good, we are consistent, I would like us to be more consistent. Of course there is always room for improvement but we are very confident. We have 14 games to play which is a lot, but we are fit, we are good, we are collecting points and I hope we are going to continue like this.”

On the injury front, how is Andy Carroll?

SB: “Andy is back, he has been training with us since Monday. He has been doing individual training for ten days, we will assess him tomorrow. Sakho and Lanzini are still out, Ogbonna has a bit of flu and hopefully will be fit, today he is feeling a bit better. Overall we are alright for Saturday, we are in a good position.”

What are the chances of Emmanuel Emenike making his debut on Saturday?

SB: “Well we’re going to see, he’s training with us today so we have to see how he is. He could do.”

Southampton are in good form themselves, they can be quite unpredictable at times, are they a hard side to prepare for?

SB:  “Yes, they have been unpredictable at times, but they are playing good, especially recently. They have had three wins in a row, and a good point away at Arsenal. They are a good side, they like to play football. They have great individuals and great pace on the counter attack, so I am expecting a very, very tough game and a very good game on Saturday.”
