Loanee round-up

Enner Valencia

West Ham United loanee Enner Valencia was in Merseyside derby action for Everton on Monday evening.

The Ecuadorean forward started and played for 73 minutes on the right wing for the Toffees, who lost out 1-0 to Sadio Mane’s added-time winner at Goodison Park.

On a season-long loan with the Blues, Valencia has made ten appearances for Ronald Koeman’s side, starting three times.

In League One, Josh Cullen produced an impressive display at Bradford City drew 1-1 at Walsall, for whom fellow Hammers loanee George Dobson was an unused substitute. The Bantams sit fourth in the table.

In the same division, Lewis Page started and completed the full 90 minutes as Coventry City were defeated 2-1 by second-place Sheffield United at the Ricoh Arena. The Sky Blues sit 23rd.

Elsewhere, Reece Burke was an unused substitute as struggling Wigan Athletic slumped to a fifth straight Championship defeat, losing 3-2 at home to Ipswich Town.
