Ahead of the Hammers’ Europa League Play Off first leg away at Romanian side Astra Girgiu, captain Mark Noble said he and teammates cannot wait for the opportunity to bounce back from Monday’s defeat.

The Hammers were edged out 2-1 at Stamford Bridge and now have to refocus quickly in time to face opponents Astra tomorrow evening.

Looking ahead to the tie, Noble said: “The games are coming thick and fast, had we got a point at Chelsea it would have been fantastic.

“Now we have a huge week ahead, first away in Romania and the very first Premier League game at the new stadium.”

Following Thursday’s European excursion, the Hammers play again on Sunday – their third in seven days – at home to AFC Bournemouth in the first ever Premier League game at London Stadium.

Noble continued: “The game against Bournemouth is going to be great, the atmosphere is going to be fantastic. Again, it’s another hard game but we have to pick up points.”
