Farewell Boleyn - Boleyn Memories

Israeli midfielder Yossi Benayoun has fond memories of his time at the Boleyn Ground
Popular midfielder Yossi Benayoun has fond memories from his time at the Boleyn Ground over his two spells for the Club.

He made 78 appearances in claret and blue, and scored eight goals in total, but it was his creative, attacking flair that made him a fans’ favourite in east London.

And, returning one last time for Mark Noble’s Testimonial, Benayoun was delighted to be back where it all started for his career in England.

He said: “I had a good two years with West Ham and I had a good relationship with the supporters.

“The Boleyn Ground is a special ground and it’s also nice to see the Club having a great season in the last year.

“They are great fans here so I think they deserve a bigger stadium because they can fill any stadium! I wish them all the best in the future.”
