FT - Dev Squad 1-0 Stoke City

FT: Dev Squad 0-0 Stoke City

FT: That's it at Rush Green - the late drama swung in the Hammers' favour and they grab the three points late on. Kanu's first goal for the U21s has settled it. Reaction to follow across our channels.

90+4: GOOOOALLLLLLL! Kanu tucks away the penalty to the left of Given, and the referee's whistle sounds shortly after. West Ham have won it at the death here, and deservedly so!

90+4: PENALTY!! The Hammers have a last-gasp chance to win it at the death here! There was a hand somewhere in the box - Kanu to take...

90+4: The Hammers have a free-kick on the right here - it's a chance to deliver. It will be the last opportunity, too...

90+3: Stoke clear a late West Ham attack but the hosts are still looking for the winner...

90: The game is starting to break up with fouls here and there, now. The fourth official has indicated there will be a minimum of four additional minutes.

85: There's a third and final change for West Ham, as Sam Ford makes way for Idris Kanu.

83: A Hendrie corner eventually falls to Dobson 25 yards from goal, and the midfielder tries his luck. It's a decent strike, but unfortunately sails wide.

82: Sub for West Ham, as Jahmal Hector-Ingram comes on to replace Vashon Neufville, who has been tireless down the left from the first minute.

79: After a lengthy delay due to a number of players receiving treatment, the Hammers clear the danger from the corner with ease. We're almost into the last ten minutes, with everything to play for.

75: Stoke sub Abdallah latches onto a hopeful long ball, and his attempt is blocked by Oxford. The visitors take their time over the resulting corner.

71: Hendrie gets the ball just outside the box and, making space for himself, fires just wide. It was deflected though, and we have a corner...Stoke clear the danger - just about!

69: And there's a second replacement immediately - Julien N'Goy has made way for Hakim Abdallah.

68: First sub for the visitors now, as Verlinden - one of Stoke's brighter sparks - is replaced by Jake Dunwoody.

66: Neufville is having a great game at left-back out here this evening, and his strong run down the left gets the crowd on their feet.

65: Sighter for Moses Makasi, as his left-footed attempt from the edge of the box is saved by Given after Hendrie's neat lay-off.

62: Substitute for the Hammers now, as Alex Pike comes on to replace the lively Dan Kemp.

60: Stephen Hendrie turns and shoots from 20 yards, but his effort drifts just wide and over of Given's right-hand post. Still, we've now had the first sighter in this second 45!

58: Some superb work from Diangana sets Kemp free, but he is crowded out by black shirts. We're yet to have an opportunity on goal in this second period.

56: Kemp is practically chopped in half as he sprints down the right side, and Waddington goes into the ref's book.

54: Another Stoke attack comes to nothing. Raphael Spiegel gets the goal kick...has he had a save to make yet tonight?

52: It's well dealt with by Oxford, who rises highest in the penalty area to head the ball clear. We're still waiting for the opening goal tonight.

51: Thibaud Verlinden leads a Stoke attack and wins a free-kick on the left. There's a decent opportunity for City to deliver a good ball in here.

49: Much like the majority of the first period, West Ham are stroking the ball about in front of Stoke, here. The visitors are still standing firm, however.

46: We're back underway for the second half here at Rush Green!

HT: And that's it for the first half. The Hammers controlled proceedings here and their best chance came early on when Grady Diangana fired over from a rebound. If the hosts provide more of the same in the second period, Stoke are going to find it tricky to hold out. 0-0 as the two sides head down the tunnel.

45: With seconds to go, West Ham take a short corner but the ball is hacked clear. One minute of added time has been signalled.

40: The resulting free-kick is knocked straight out of play and the Stoke striker was offside anyway. The visitors haven't had the greatest game out there so far this evening.

39: George Dobson makes a tough challenge but is slightly late. He'll go into the referee's book for the first yellow card of the evening.

37: O'Brien puts in a deep cross, and again Hendrie attacks it. Again, it's flicked clear! The Hammers have a free-kick on the right-hand-side now, however. Unfortunately, Dimitri Payet's not on the pitch...

33: Diangana turns his man inside out before laying the ball back to O'Brien. His cross is just taken off the head of Hendrie in the middle by a Stoke defender.

31: Stoke's Dan Jarvis flies down the right-wing, but once again, Oxford is there to halt his progress. No-nonsense stuff from the skipper so far this evening.

29: A crunching tackle and delighful diagonal pass from Dobson gets the hosts moving forward again. Another attempt from Dobson then sails just over the head of Ford up-top.

26: West Ham are entertaining the crowd here at Rush Green as they tiptoe their way to the edge of the box with some fancy flicks and tricks. Dan Kemp eventually has an opportunity to shoot, but Stoke just about throw enough defenders in the way.

23: Oxford volleys at goal after collecting from a corner kick, but it's charged down well. The Hammers are getting closer here, though...

22: Given gets given a pass-back in a criminal area, and he's forced just to toe-punt it clear. West Ham cross from the left but the dangerous ball in his dealt with.

20: Neufville is fouled and the Hammers have a free-kick in a good area here. Hendrie to deliver...the ball pings around the box but eventually Stoke clear their lines.

18: Some sharp passing in the centre of the pitch from West Ham releases Stephen Hendrie, but his pass just evades the onrushing Ford. At the other end, Oxford clears a dangerous Stoke attack for a corner.

16: A long ball from Stoke's Mason Watkins finds Mark Waddington in an advanced area, but his first touch is poor and skipper Reece Oxford can clear up easily at the back for West Ham.

14: West Ham are pressing City high up the field here, and Joey O'Brien at right-back wins possession in an attacking position. The referee, however, blows for a dubious free-kick.

12: Dobson is still in command of this midfield. He must have played double the amount of passes as anyone else on the pitch. The hosts still look the more likely to create chances.

10: The man in the Stoke goal who denied Ford was, of course, former Newcastle and Man City man Shay Given, who is one of the away side's over-age players this evening.

7: The Potters come foward for the first time but Tom Edwards' cross is tipped over the bar by Raphael Spiegel. The resulting corner comes to nothing.

4: Great chance! The Hammers get down the left-hand-side a number of times and eventually the ball drops to Sam Ford in the middle, who is denied spectacularly by the keeper. The rebound falls to Grady Diangana but he can't keep the effort down.

3: The Hammers are controlling the possession here and George Dobson is pulling the strings in midfield. He fires a lovely ball out wide to Neufville on the left but the hosts are forced back.

2: There's not a breath of wind in the air this evening and the sun is still shining - it's the perfect evening for a spot of Development Squad football!

2: A lovely Maradona-esque turn from Vashon Neufville gets him away from his man but he can't deliver the cross.

1: And we're underway! The Hammers are kicking from left-to-right tonight and come up against a Stoke City side wearing their change strip of all black.

6:58pm: The lads are out the tunnel and raring to go against Stoke City this evening!

6:45pm: The sun is still beaming down here at Rush Green and we've got only 15 minutes until kick-off. Follow all the action live right here!

6:30pm: In their last outing, West Ham reached the U21 Premier League Cup after a 3-2 win after extra time against Liverpool, while Stoke beat Brighton 1-0 in the league.

6:15pm: The Hammers, currently fifth in the league table, are looking to consolidate their position in the play-offs. They'll also want to avenge their 2-1 defeat in the reverse fixture back in September.
