Classic match

West Ham United 1-0 Chelsea
Premier League
2 October 1993

West Ham were sitting in a lowly 17th position by the time London rivals Chelsea visited in early October 1993.

A goal from Trevor Morley was enough to send most of the 19,000 fans inside the Boleyn Ground home happy.

This was however one of only six home wins all season as the Hammers enjoyed more success on their travels than on home soil.

Their good away form helped them finish one place and one point above the Blues in 13th place.
