Julian Dicks interview - Part One

Julian Dicks had an unforgettable playing career at West Ham United during his two-spells in east London where he made 326 appearances for the Club and scored 65 goals.

Dicks quickly became a fans favourite at the Boleyn Ground and was rated one of the best left backs in the country.

The 47-year-old has now made an emotional return as coaching assistant to his good friend and former team-mate Slaven Bilic and is relishing the chance to be back at the Club.

West Ham TV caught up with the former left-back to look back at his memorable spell in the East-End and get his views on what made him have such a strong connection with the Hammers supporters.

In Part One of our big interview we look back at the early years of Dicks career, his arrival at Upton Park and his relationship with John Lyall and Billy Bonds.
