Arnold Hills was Managing Director of the Thames Ironworks and Shipbuilding Compan, Co-founder of Thames Ironworks F.C. in 1895 and businessman, philanthropist, sportsman and FA Cup finalist in his playing days with Oxford University.
In the summer of 1895 Hills, along with Dave Taylor, helped found Thames Ironworks F.C., who later became West Ham United. He believed that his own local community should have its own football team and financially supported the Club in its early days.
Hills and Taylor are our original Founders and you can join them as Founders today!
