Tottenham Hotspur 3-4 West Ham United
First Division
12 November 1966

White Hart Lane was left deflated after West Ham United came out on top of a seven-goal thriller in 1966.

Johnny Byrne struck early to give the Hammers the lead before Jimmy Greaves levelled with a penalty.

Before half-time, Peter Brabrook and Johnny Sissons stretched the advantage, with Terry Venables reducing the lead to 3-2 by the interval.

Greaves then fired another penalty over the bar and it was left to Alan Gilzean to grab an equaliser. However, with ten minutes remaining Geoff Hurst scored the winner for the visitors.
