Chadwell Chatter - Carl Jenkinson

Hello everyone,

We had a disappointing result against Watford last weekend and everyone came into training a bit disappointed at the start of the week.

You don't enjoy your weekend when you have a result like that and it is not a nice feeling.

But if we can go and get a good result against Everton on Saturday, everything will look good for us again and we are in a good position in the league.

It is important we get over the Watford defeat quickly and focus on Everton because that will be an important game for us. We want to go into the international break with a smile on our face.

We are disappointed with how we played as a team last weekend. We have played so well at times this year and obviously Saturday was not at that level.

In fairness to Watford they played really well and when you play against teams who have just been promoted into the Premier League, you are not going to walk all over them and beat them.

This league is so competitive now and the games are tough. We didn't perform as well as we could but at the same time Watford played really well and deserved to win the game. It is about how we bounce back.

You look at our fixture list now and there are no easy games but we can take confidence from beating four of the best teams in the league and that is not easy to do.

There are no easy fixtures any more but if we can play to the best of our ability we can beat anyone and that is the attitude we need to have going into the game on Saturday.

It is no secret we have been better away from home this season, but that is something we need to turn around.

We want to make it hard for teams to get a result at the Boleyn Ground and that has got to be our aim now.

We have been picking up a good number of points away but we need to transform that into our home form. We need to stay positive as we are in a good position in the league.

We have got to stay optimistic. We need to go into the game on Saturday with a confident attitude.

Enjoy the game on Saturday.
