West Ham United can confirm that winger Stewart Downing has returned to Middlesbrough
West Ham United can confirm that winger Stewart Downing has returned to hometown club Middlesbrough on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee.
Downing, who turns 31 next Wednesday, has moved back to his first club after two seasons in east London. The midfielder made 74 appearances in Claret and Blue, scoring seven goals.
