Firsts

Did you pass your driving test first time?
Yes, I passed it in Orpington in Kent. My reverse round the corner wasn’t the best but it was good enough I guess!

Tell us about your first international cap…
It came for Uruguay Under-20s earlier this year away to France in a friendly at Clairefontaine near Paris. We drew the game 1-1 but it was a very special moment for my family and myself. It was very wet and cold, so I had the advantage of being used to the weather.

What’s the first radio station you turn on in the car?
I don’t really listen to the radio, but if I was to choose one it would be Kiss 100.

What was your first pair of football boots?
My first pair of boots were the adidas Predator, the original ones, with the big tongue stretched by the elastic band that you tucked under the boot and the tyre-like grip to help you get more bend on the ball.

Who was your first footballing hero?
Zinedine Zidane. Simply the best midfielder there has been.

Lasts

What was the last concert you went to? Ed Sheeran at the O2 with my girlfriend, who is now my ex-girlfriend…

What was the last thing you watched on TV?
Game of Thrones, I’m really into that at the moment.

What was the last book you read?
Roy Keane’s autobiography.

Where was the last place you went to on holiday?
I went to Los Angeles in my short summer holidays after the U20 World Cup, where I was lucky enough to meet up with Seb Lletget and went to watch him play a couple of times for LA Galaxy. He has started really well for them.

What was the last film you saw at the cinema?
Ted 2. I found the first one hilarious so I had no choice but to go and see what the second one was saying.
