West Ham United first team stars Adrian, Stewart Downing and Carlton Cole appeared an exclusive Q&A event for Season Ticket Holders and Academy Members at the Boleyn Ground on Tuesday night.
Hammers fans turned out in numbers as they had the chance to pose questions to the trio on all manner of subjects.
Adrian answered questions on his emotions at netting the winning penalty against Everton in January, while Stewart Downing was asked about his improved form this term, while Carlton Cole was questioned over who the dressing room joker at the Boleyn Ground is.
In all, the first teamers answered questions from the floor for an hour, before mingling with supporters for autographs and photos.
Cole was delighted to meet supporters at the event. He said: “There were some really good questions, especially from the young boys that they put on the microphone!
“We gave them a little bit of entertainment and that’s what we’re here for.
“Everyone wants to hear your opinion – I gave mine on a few subjects. It’s an intimate crowd and we get to sign autographs afterwards and make everyone happy.”
For Season Ticket Holder Darren Kristiansen from Basildon, the event provided a unique opportunity to quiz first team stars.
He said: “It was absolutely fantastic. All the questions were answered, the fans felt like they were being listened to and appreciated so it was an excellent event.
“Not only did the players answer questions, but they took time to sign autographs and they genuinely seemed to care what the fans thought. It polishes off what West Ham laid on in the morning with a training session as well – it’s been an absolutely fantastic day.
“I’d definitely recommend future events like this to Season Ticket Holders.”
