First teamers set for U21 run-out

West Ham United will field a strong Development Squad side when they take on Sunderland at the Boleyn Ground on Monday evening (kick-off 7pm), including first team players Kevin Nolan, Matt Jarvis and Ricardo Vaz Te.

Nolan and Jarvis have missed the majority of the season to date with shoulder and thigh problems respectively, but are now fit to return and will build their match fitness alongside winger Vaz Te on Monday.

Their presence will boost a Hammers side who are searching for their first victory of the Barclays U21 Premier League campaign.

A 1-1 draw at Fulham last time out took their points tally to two from five games, and midfielder Kieran Bywater is keen to experience that winning feeling.

He said: "We feel we should have more points than we've got. In our first couple of games we played well but were unlucky not to get a win. Then we had a blip against Liverpool but otherwise we've done ok. I'm really looking forward to the game against Sunderland on Monday night."

Monday's game will kick-off at 7pm, with admission FREE for Season Ticket Holders. Adult tickets are priced at £4 with concessions at £2.
