Enner will be looking to build on his hugely encouraging start to life in Claret and Blue - a start which has seen him open his account with a rasping drive at Hull City and strike up a flourishing partnership with Senegal frontman Diafra Sakho.

West Ham's new No31 has become an even bigger hero in his homeland than he is among Hammers fans, scoring three times in Brazil and totalling eight goals in just 15 international appearances.

"This is something that the Ecuadorian Government is working on in," Enner confirmed. "They asked me if I would do it and of course it was my honour to agree."

On Tuesday, he was among five players to visit the new Club London Reservation Centre at Westfield Stratford City, where supporters will soon be able to choose their hospitality packages at the new Stadium.

"It's a fantastic stadium and it's going to be good when it's finished. I'm looking forward to playing there."
