Morrison joins Cardiff on loan

West Ham United midfielder has joined Sky Bet Championship side Cardiff City on a three-month emergency loan deal, subject to international clearance.

Morrison has made two first team appearances for the Hammers this term - in the Capital One Cup against Sheffield United and the Barclays Premier League against Southampton - and now embarks on a third loan spell in the Championship, following previous temporary moves to Birmingham City and Queens Park Rangers.

Cardiff currently sit 16th in the table, having gained nine points in eight games - a start which cost boss Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer his job last week.
