West Ham United Community Sports Trust is pleased to announce the launch of its Football Development Centres for the 2014/15 campaign.
The centres are geared up for young footballers looking to hone their skills, with sessions run by the Trust's very own FA Level 2 or UEFA B licenced coaches.
To mark the occasion, youngsters can this week attend sessions free of charge at four venues across east London and Essex. Boys from the age of six all the way up to 13 are urged to come along to participate in the following taster sessions.
Monday 15 September
Thurrock: St Clere's School, Butts Ln, Stanford-le-Hope, Essex SS17 0NW
Wednesday 17 September
Beckton: WHU Community Sports Trust, 60a Albatross Close, Off Woolwich Manor Way, Beckton, E6 5NX
Friday 19 September
Epping: Shooters Football Ltd, Rayley Lane, Weald Bassett, Epping, Essex, CM16 6AR
Romford: PlayFootball, King George Playing Fields, Eastern Avenue West, Romford, Greater London, RM7 7AY
The football gets underway from 5pm, with the first hour for Under 6s - 9s, with a second session from 6pm until 7pm for the Under 10s - 13s and all goalkeepers. The above four venues will then play host to the Football Development Centres throughout the first term of the Academic year.
The term one programme is ten weeks long, kicking off from the week commencing Monday 22 September and concluding in the first week of December. The programme is delivered in line with the famed West Ham United Academy philosophy and costs just £45 for the ten weeks.
That includes sessions on all technical and tactical aspects of the game and an end-of-programme report that will outline areas of development and strengths in the player's game. The ten weeks culminate in a free game-day festival, watched by Academy coaches and scouts alike.
