FT: Dev Squad 1-2 Manchester United

A vastly improved performance for the Hammers as they lost narrowly to Manchester United. We'll have reaction for you soon.

93: Final chance for the Hammers to get it up field. Howes punts in up field but it falls to Lindegaard.

92: CLOSE! Onariase flicks a free-kick on, Knoyle sets it for Lee who forces a good save from Lindegaard.

91: Corner to West Ham. Bywater swings it into the danger zone but it is headed away by Tom Thorpe.

90: Lee has worked tirelessly all game and he sets Mavila free down the left wing. The visitors clear.

89: Into the last few minutes. Haycock is urging his men on, will they get one more chance?

85: Kyle Knoyle and Nathan Mavila are on for Josh Pask and Moses Makasi.  

84: Into the last stages here at Rush Green. The Hammers desperately pushing for an equaliser.

82: A stoppage in play as Josh Pask receives treatment for cramp. The youngster has done superbly against arguably the best attackers at this level in the country.

79: Goal for Manchester United. Will Keane scores from close range after the visitors won the ball through a dubious tackle on Nasha. The West Ham crowd are not happy about that one.

78: Superb flowing move from the Hammers. This is the first real possession the Hammers have had. Excellent football from Nick Haycock's men. They almost work an opening 

76: Will Keane stings the palms of Sam Howes but the young 'keeper clutches it calmly. Superb goalkeeping considering the adverse conditions.

75: Reece James goes flying in on Sam Westley yet somehow no foul is given.

72: Andreas Pereira floats another free kick over the bar and into the car park.

70: Matthias Fanimo is on in place of Jaanai Gordon. The Hammers could really use his speed on the counter.

68: It's just started raining but it will take more to dampen the spirits of those here at Rush Green.

65: Substitutions for Manchester United. Michael Carrick and James Wilson are replaced by Liam Grimshaw and Donald Love.

63: More dogged defending from the Hammers. James Weir breaks through but his touch lets him down, a moment later Howes spills a shot but pounces on the loose ball just as Wilson was about to pounce.

59: Man United have been camped in the Hammers half so far, they going to have to do something to relieve the pressure. Onariase puts his foot through another clearance.

57: More pressure for the hosts to deal with as they have to defend another corner.

55: Another free-kick in a dangerous place for the visitors...WIlson dummies it for Pereira which is deflected out for a corner.

53: The Red Devils work another opportunity for Wilson with a clinical through ball from Carrick. The striker, who has been excellent all evening, fires just wide of the far post.

50: Just as in the first half, the visitors have started the second half the stronger. The Hammers are remaining solid.

48: Phenomenal touch by James Wilson to spin his man. He shot goes narrowly over.

46: The teams are back out on the field, ready for the second half.

45: Pask again is on hand to clear a goalmouth scramble from a Man United corner. He's having an excellent game against quality opposition.

43: After a brief stoppage in play, we're back up and running. Will Keane almost pounces on a stray pass but Pask puts astrong foot through the ball to clear it.

42: The crowd are loving it. We've got a proper contest on our hands now.

40: Man United are rattled now. Reece James goes in full blooded on Lee resulting in a few handbags between Bywater and Pereira.

38: GOAL! Superb goal from West Ham's main man. Elliot Lee equalises with his fift goal in four games after bursting into the box and firing past Lindegaard. Unstoppable.

36: Saidy Janko is looking very lively down the right wing. He bursts into the box but Page puts a foot in to halt his progress.

32: Good spell of pressure for the Hammers as they force a corner. Lindegaard shows his experience to rise highest and claim calmly.

30: Who dummies it to Lee. The striker on the byline tries to pull it back but is crowded out.

30: Free kick in a decent position for the Hammers. Bywater is going to swing it in...

29: Superb goalkeeping from Sam Howes to deny Wilson from close range. He really should have scored there.  

27: West Ham have a free-kick which Blackett heads clear. Vermijl bursts down the right wing with pace. The moves comes to end after a terrifi sliding interception from Josh Pask.

26: Wilson decides to blast the free-kick but the wall stands tall.

25: Onariase goes into the book for a second foul. Another chance for Man United... 

23: Man United have another good opporunity as Manny Onariase is ajudged to have fouled Wilson on the edge of the box. Pereira's free-kick goes harmlessly wide.

21: Goal! 1-0 to the visitors as James Wilson fires a shot from the edge of the area, very little backlift and into the corner.

19: Lee disposes Blackett and the breakaway is on, however Lletget's through-ball canons off the referee and the chance is gone.

16: Pereira has a shot on the edge of the box which Manny Onariase blocks with his chest. That looked like it hurt but the centre-back is made of tough stuff. 

15: Chances are slowing being created after an intial cagey first ten minutes.

13: Man United go down the other end and Saidy Janko smashes a fierce shot against the cross bar.

11: Chance for West Ham as they create a good opening. Page swings a deep cross in for Bywater who nods into Lee's path. A desperate foot from Reece James clears the danger.

9: Tyler Blackett is a commanding presence at the heart of the Man United defence. His pace and physicality is an obstacle Elliot Lee and co will have to deal with.  

7: Both teams playing very cautiously so far, neat passing in the middle of the park but no through ball and no shots so far.

6: Good interception from Moses Makasi to deny a break away, good work from the midfielder.

5: West Ham keeper Sam Howes is marshalling his defence well, making sure they keep it tight at the back.

3: Bright start to tonight's game for the hosts. They're taking the game to Man United. The Red Devils go into tonight's game unbeaten after four games.

1: Jaanai Gordon and Sebby Lletget get us under way. The Hammers are kicking left to right in this first half.

The teams are walking out onto the pitch, Man United are in their white and black away kit. Handshakes are completed are we're ready!

Just under 20 minutes to go till kick-off. There's a great atmosphere here at Rush Green. The tunes are blaring, the conditions are perfect and we're all set for a great game.  

The Man United squad have emerged from the dressing room and are now warming up too. They've named a strong side tonight!

The Dev Squad are first out on the pitch warming up, the pitch looks prestine and we're all set for a great match!

Kick off is just 45 minutes away, already the crowds are streaming into Rush Green, home of the famous West Ham United academy.
