Sean Maguire's Accrington Stanley beat Hartlepool United 3-1 on Tuesday night to take them 14th in the Sky Bet League Two table.
Maguire played the first 63 minutes as Shay McCartan's brace and Rob Atkinson's goal sealed the three points for Stanley. Their next fixture is away to Newport County this Saturday.
George Moncur played the first 45 minutes as Colchester United beat Chesterfield 2-1 n League One.
The visitors opened the scoring in the first minute through Samuel Clucas but the U's turned the game around as Rhys Healey levelled the scoring before ex-Hammer Freddie Sears scored the winner, his eighth goal of the season, in the 87th minute.
