West Ham United Under 18s' Oscar Borg is looking forward to bouncing back from the defeat by Leicester City when he faces Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.
With Tottenham sitting in fourth place on 20 points, the north Londoners are just one point ahead of the Hammers and Borg, who has featured regularly for the U18s, is relishing the opportunity of leapfrogging the London rivals.
Speaking ahead of the match at Tottenham's Training Ground in Enfield, Borg said: "They're always a tough side to play against. They like moving the ball about and playing good football. It's the same way we like to play so we know we'll have to up our game and close them down quickly and put pressure on the ball.
"Hopefully our best football will come out and we get a result."
Earlier this season, the Hammers drew 3-3 with Tottenham thanks to a Jordan Brown brace and Manny Onariase's header. The draw was part of the U18s impressive start to the season which saw them maintain an unbeaten start to eight games.
"It's been a good season so far, I think we've done well. We went on a good unbeaten run at the start of the season, we slipped up recently against Leicester last weekend but hopefully we can push on and get another result."
The versatile left-back has been in good form for the U18s, netting once in seven league appearances. When assessing his performances this term, he said: "Personally, I've been enjoying my football this season which I think is a good sign. I think I've been playing well of late and hopefully I'll continue that in the games coming up.
"I think the we can do very well this season. We're in a good position in the league. Hopefully that'll continue and we finish in the play offs and maybe even win the league."
The U18s play Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday, at Tottenham's Training Centre in Enfield.
