FT: Everton 2-1 West Ham United. Close, but no cigar for the Hammers today, who gave a really spirited performance at Goodison Park but were ultimately punished for being caught on the break in the second period. Following Mauro Zarate's equaliser, it looked as though the Hammers were beginning to gain the upper hand as the closing stages approached, but it was not to be with goals from Lukaku and Osman giving the visitors their first defeat since late September.
90+5: That might be it as Howard jumps confidently to claim a Jenkinson cross.
90+3: The ball ricochets off Jenkinson and gives Vaz Te space as he turns away down the right channel. He looks for a swift cross but only puts the ball behind.
90+2: Should be game over as Everton work a neat move in the right channel as Coleman crosses low and Eto'o somehow plants the ball wide when scoring seemed easier.
90: The fourth official's board goes up and we'll have five minutes of added time.
89: Everton can eventually make their change with Atsu coming on.
88: The stretcher is called for and Naismith has to go off, with Atsu about to come on.
86: There's a delay to the game as Naismith has to receive treatment.
84: ...Good near post delivery from Cresswell towards Carroll, but the heads go up and the ball skids out of play. Goal kick says referee Clattenburg.
83: Zarate makes another foraging run down the right and wins a corner...
82: The Hammers' final change of the game sees Ricardo Vaz Te come on for Morgan Amalfitano.
79: Everton decide to make their second substitution of the afternoon. Muhamed Besic is the man coming on in Ross Barkley's place.
76: What a chance that is! Amalfitano whips over a teasing ball from the right which comes out to Jarvis on the far side of the box. He shoots left footed and Collins is free six yards out. His touch takes it goalwards, but into the feet ot Howard and the hosts breathe a sigh of relief.
73: Goal! Everton back into the lead through Osman. West Ham are dispossessed high up the pitch, giving them the chance to break with real pace. Lukaku is taken out by Collins, but the ball drops to Eto'o, who carries on his run in the right channel. Everton have men over and Eto'o crosses for Osman to tap home. 2-1.
71: Chance for Jarvis to open his legs and run at Jagielka as Nolan sweeps the ball out to his left hand side. Jagielka, being the last man, has to retreat and Jarvis can shoot on his left hand side but finds the side netting.
68: Zarate's involved again, keeping the ball on the left flank and eventually drawing a foul from Barkley. Free-kick, which Zarate delivers himself. The ball drops, via a touch from Carroll, to Amalfitano, whose low drive needs a fine diving stop from Howard.
66: Everton make their first change, with Samuel Eto'o coming on for Kevin Mirallas.
64: Zarate is proving hard to knock off the bsll, and by drawing two men to him he can release Cresswell in space down the left. He crosses towards the near post, where Amalfitano gets a touch, but Distin blocks and Everton clear.
62: A corner for the Hammers comes to nothing and once again Everton look to break quickly. McCarthy knocks a beautiful pass into Naismith, who controls on his chest and looks for Lukaku. The angle is tightening all the time and he can only fire into the side netting.
60: The tensions from that incident in the opening period flare up again when Mirallas goes in heavily on Amalfitano. Tomkins is the angry party this time and his push into Mirallas is met with an identical response. A yellow card apiece.
59: Zarate is buzzing around the pitch really nicely since coming on and West Ham are coming forward with more conviction, but with the extra numbers committed Everton can break and McCarthy curls inches over the top.
56: GOAL! Zarate for 1-1. West Ham drag themselves level. It's nearly all Zarate's own work as he collects the ball in the right channel, turns out of a tackle and moves across the face of the area onto his left foot. He fires in a shot, Jagielka is in the way, but can only block the ball into the ground, up and over Howard. It nestles in the net and 2,500 travelling fans go crazy.
53: Corner to West Ham and it's whipped in towards the near post. Collins gets a half flicked and it's poked away. Carroll shoots and it slams into the defender. The fans shout penalty, but referee Clattenburg points to his chest.
51: And here comes that change, Cole and Noble are the men to go off and Jarvis and Zarate are on. Tomkins moves into midfield.
50: Looks like we're going to have an early double change here. Jarvis and Zarate are readying themselves.
4.04pm We're back underway. No changes from either team, can we turn it around in the second half?
HT; Everton 1-0 West Ham United. Everton go into the break with the lead, but the Hammers have genuine cause for complaint over their goal. Lukaku looked to be offside when Barkley's shot came in and was blocked by Collins. The Hammers have had to deal with making five changes due to injuries and are still in the game. Everton haven't looked overly secure at the back and the next goal is crucial. Join is in 15 minutes for the second half.
45+1: Nolan scraps for a ball in the middle of the park, allowing Carroll to come away with it and make his way to the edge of the box. He fires goalwards, but slices the shot and it ends up comfortably wide of the left hand post.
45: Two minutes of added time have been signalled at the end of the first half.
41: This is getting a bit tasty. McCarthy goes in strongly on Amalfitano and Reid does not like it at all. He rushes out to confront McCarthy, prompting both teams to come together and discuss the challenge. After it calms down Clattenburg books both Reid and McCarthy before the Hammers can restart with a throw in.
39: Free kick to the Hammers 40 yards out, but Cresswell's delivery goes straight into Howard's hands. Everton break and Lukaku looks for Mirallas, but Cresswell atones for his poor ball by intercepting.
37: Everton move to the other end through Naismith and he passes to Lukaku. He fires home, but this time the offside flag is raised and it stays 1-0.
36: Everton are looking shaky at the back and they give it away again. This time Amalfitano can feed the ball into Nolan. Again, the shooting chance is on, but he looks for Carroll and the pass runs through to Howard.
35: Space opens up for Jenkinson all of a sudden down the right as he takes on Osman and takes the ball inside Hibbert with a couple of touches. He may have opted to shoot as he reached the area, but instead looks square. It's a touch behind Carroll and as he reaches for it he scoops over.
32: Half a chance for the Hammers as Distin leaves a pass short, allowing Amalfitano to nip in. He exchanges passes with Nolan to open up the shooting chance, but puts his effort wide.
30: West Ham enjoying a decent spell of possession as they try to hit back and Jenkinson's cross is a decent one, but just too strong for Andy Carroll, who can only stick out a leg to keep the ball in. Cresswell and then Jenkinson cross again, but Everton clear.
26: Goal! Lukaku for Everton. The big No10 batters home from close range after Collins comes flying out to block shots from Barkley twice in quick succession. The second deflects up to Lukaku, who controls on his chest and smashes into the net. He had to be close to being offside there - and I don't think Big Sam will be happy with the decision. Either way, Everton lead.
24: Everton are starting to ramp it up and Naismith reaches the by-line before firing a powerful ball across the middle. If that touches anyone it's surely a goal, but flashes all the way across, to West Ham's relief. Everton recycle the ball and Hibbert tries his luck from range but shoots over.
21: Cresswell has his pocket picked by Barkley and as he tries to get back to him, Nolan sticks out a leg and gives away a foul. The skipper doesn't like the decision though, but referee Clattenburg keeps his cards in his pocket. The fuss soon dies down though, as Everton deliver the free kick beyond the far post and out for a goal kick.
19: Chance for Everton as Coleman gets in behind Cresswell to the by-line and cuts back to Naismith. It's a good opening 15 yards out, but he gets under the ball and his shot flies well over the top.
17: Cole is putting a shift in during the early stages and he tracks back to inside his own half to nick the ball
14: Everton produce their first effort in anger when Naismith feeds the ball to Lukaku. The big striker controls and shoots left footed, but his effort lacks power and is easily gathered by Adrian.
11: Tomkins is allowed to carry the ball forward from defence and he clips the ball up towards Carroll in the box. He gets up well and heads to Cole, but he can't quite bring the ball under and it's cleared.
7: Everton are keeping the ball well in the opening stages, but Cole drops in to hassle McCarthy and eventually forces him to run out of play. West Ham attack swiftly from the throw, with Cole sweeping it out to Jenkinson. He crosses low from the left and Jagielka stabs away when facing his own goal.
4: The ball comes into the box for the first time from the Hammers from the right hand side. It's a high, hanging cross and Howard claims easily.
1: The crowd around us get excited as Osman slips a pass through to Mirallas. He's one-on-one, but also offside and the flag goes up.
3.01pm: Naismith and Lukaku get us underway. Come on you Irons!
2.58pm Kevin Nolan is back skippering the Hammers today, with his team in their traditional claret and blue. Everton are in blue and white, as you'd expect.

2.30pm We can update you with regard the five first-team players missing through injury today. Stewart Downing (knee), Cheikhou Kouyate (knee) and Diafra Sakho (back) returned from international duty nursing injuries, while Alex Song and Enner Valencia (both knee) were injured in training with the Hammers. We will issue a further update regarding their conditions in due course.
2.20pm Kevin Nolan returns to the starting XI for the first time since the opening game of the campaign and he's been talking to Premier League Productions.
"I'm delighted to back. It's been a long old few weeks, but the boys have been brilliant so I haven't been moaning to the gaffer," he said.
"Hopefully we can continue our form today. We're five unbeaten and hopefully we can make it six today.
"We were hoping Everton wouldn't have tightened up at the back. The last two seasons, I've not had an easy game here.
"It's going to be tough, as it always is here. Their fans get right behind them so we've got to try and quieten them today.
"We certainly feel we can continue our form. We've got great depth in the squad now and that's something we didn't have last year."
2.05pm So the Hammers are forced into five changes from their last starting Xi with injury robbing them of Stewart Downing, Diafra Sakho, Enner Valencia, Alex Song and Cheikhou Kouyate.
Andy Carroll, Carlton Cole, Morgan Amalfitano, Kevin Nolan and James Tomkins are the men who come in, as the Hammers look for their first win at Goodison Park in nine years.
Everton, too, have their injury problems with the likes of Baines, Barry and Stones all missing.

12.45pm Everton boss Roberton Martinez has been effusive in his praise for the Hammers in his programme notes and he warns his side are in for a real test today.
"West Ham are playing with real confidence in a very good attacking manner with football that has given them impressive results," he said.
"The way West Ham have found a quick adaptation into the team for their new signings has been exceptional.
"We all know we will have to be at our very best to compete against a side sitting in a Champions League position at this moment."

The Hammers are searching for a first win on the blue half of Merseyside in nine years, but may have to overcome some injury problems to achieve it.
Stewart Downing and Diafra Sakho are both doubts after picking up injuries when on international duty, although Andy Carroll stepped up his comeback with a 90 minute run-out against Fulham during the international break.
