West Ham United striker
"I was playing in the hole and pulling a few strings. It was good to see AC get back on the scoresheet and also set up one for Nolan. If you were watching from a neutral point of view, I think it was a good game."
With new strikers Enner Valencia and Diafra Sakho making an instant impact, Cole has been an effective substitute, and gives manager Sam Allardyce a different type of striker to call upon.
"It's hard to find form when you're not starting but everyone who knows me knows I always give 100% every game.
"Our next game is Everton away which is always a tough game. We've got the personnel and good strength in depth to make a difference. We're confident at the moment and I think we can go there and get a result."
Cole continued to say he believes the international break has come at a good time for the Hammers as it gives the squad a chance to get to full fitness ahead of a busy schedule running up to Christmas.
"We've picked up a few injuries so that gives them time to get back to fitness. We've got a few players out on international duty so with any luck they'll come back and we'll be ready for next weekend."
