Five feature in Southend friendly

continued his comeback from injury by featuring in a behind-closed-doors meeting with Southend United on Wednesday.

Carroll, who has not featured for the first team this season following ankle surgery in the United States in July, was joined in the Hammers side by Joey O'Brien, Matt Jarvis, Kevin Nolan and Ricardo Vaz Te.
