Iceland 0-1 Wales
International friendly
28 May 2008

Jack Collison became the 13th Hammer to represent Wales when he made his full international debut against Iceland on this day in 2008.

A young Wales side edged past the hosts thanks to a goal from another teenager, Ched Evans.

The then-Manchester City striker's deft back-heel lit up an otherwise drab match, which gave Wales a fourth straight clean sheet.

Another West Ham player, Craig Bellamy was also involved, as he came off the bench with 62 minutes played.

Collison, who will leave the Hammers this summer at the end of his contract, has earned a further 16 caps for his country.
