Chilean attacking midfielder Luis Jimenez was born on this day 31 years ago.

He spent half-a-season on loan at West Ham United from Italian club Ternana in 2009/10, playing twelve games for the Club and notching one goal, a penalty in a 5-3 Barclays Premier League victory over Burnley.

Jimenez would be loaned to Parma for the remainder of the campaign in February 2010 - making the Gialloblu one of a host of clubs he spent time with on loan or on co-ownership agreements following a contract dispute with Ternana in 2006.

He eventually left them in 2011 to link up with Al-Ahli Dubai, and he enjoyed a successful first season in the Middle East, notching 13 goals and winning the UAE President's Cup.

Jimenez, who featured for Chile in the 2004 and 2011 Copa America tournaments, has also won the Serie A title twice, from his spell with Internazionale.
