West Ham United's Italian Supporters' Club, the Martelli d'Italia, took part in the eleventh edtiion of the Italian Connection recently - a football tournament dedicated to Italian fans of British clubs.
Sixteen teams and 250 players came together for an amazing celebration of sport in Milan, with the Martelli proudly representing West Ham United.
56 Martelli members descended on the tournament, meaning on the terraces and in the bars there was no competition!
However, it did not go quite so well on the pitch, although that would not dampen the Hammers' spirits.
Wearing a captain's armband gifted by Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon, the Hammers took on Chelsea Italia first. Despite West Ham taking the lead and having another goal ruled out by the referee, Chelsea came back in the second half to win 3-1.
A deflected goal gave Newcastle a 1-0 victory in the next match, and a last minute Arsenal strike gave them a narrowly-contested 2-1 win over the Hammers in the final group fixture.
The tournament closed with fixtures against Celtic and Manchester United. In the first, West Ham held a two-goal lead late on, only for Celtic to come back before triumphing 3-2 on penalties.
Manchester United's team then won 4-2 in the final match, and although the Martelli were unable to gain a result on the pitch, they were still proud to represent the Hammers - with Bubbles ringing out at the final ceremony.
