Gianfranco Zola's side got off to a flyer when Valon Behrami combined with Guillermo Franco before firing past Boaz Myhill to put them ahead in the third minute.
Carlton Cole added a second before Julien Faubert rounded things off with a spectacular 25-yard strike. The Hammers would go on to finish five points and two places above relegated Hull.
