Ken Brown - Born on this day in 1934
Former West Ham United footballer Ken Brown celebrates his 80th birthday today. Brown was a guest of the Club for the Barclays Premier League match against Norwich City and was interviewed on the pitch at half-time before being presented with a home shirt reading 'BROWN 80' on the back. In total Brown made 474 appearances for the Hammers after signing from amateur side Neville United in 1951. The defender secured legendary status amongst West Ham fans when he played a part in the Club winning the 1964 FA Cup final with a 3-2 win against Preston North End at Wembley.

The frontman bagged himself two goals whilst Graham Paddon and Billy Bonds also got their names on the score sheet against the Toffees.
