"I've never played against a team my Dad's managed, he'd left Brighton by the time I was playing for Charlton so we haven't crossed paths just yet.
"We're both looking forward to it happening one day, we've been joking about it recently. We won't talk about it this week, after the game I'm sure whoever wins will have something to say!"
With the Hammers sitting in fourth in the Premier League table, Poyet is hoping the team can maintain their good run of form and extend their winning run to four games come Saturday.
"We're absolutely flying, the boys are buzzing and they deserve it. Everyone's worked hard this season, we deserve everything we've got and hopefully that continues, the performances and the results.
"Even if I'm not involved I'll still try and make the journey to support the boys and hopefully we'll get another three points.
"I had a good time away but I'm happy to be back. I was at the ground on Sunday which was obviously another great result. I asked the staff if I could play on Monday and get a run out which was good for me. I had a run of games at Huddersfield so to continue that was good."
