As a former Wolverhampton Wanderers player, Matt Jarvis knows all about football in the Black Country.
He knows, therefore, to expect a stern examination at West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday, even if Alan Irvine's men have lost their last three games.
Jarvis, who started his first game of the season in defeating Newcastle United 1-0 on Saturday, is keen to keep the good form of the east Londoners going.
"The Hawthorns is a tough place to go to, every single game is tough," he explained.
"We'll go there in good spirits having recovered from the game on Saturday, making sure we put in a good performance and try to get the points.
"We need to keep on picking up points over the season and then you never know. We want to push on as high as we can.
"It was fantastic to get back to winning ways at the weekend. Newcastle were on such a good run of form, so it was great to get back in front of our home fans and win.
"It was a tight game with not that many chances, but we got the goal and the clean sheet, which is always important.
"We've got great strength in depth, across every position. For the manager it's fantastic and as a whole squad is great going into every game knowing that whoever's playing is a fantastic player."
