West Ham United drew 0-0 with Leicester City in their first Barclays U18 Premier League home fixture - maintaining their unbeaten start to the 2014/15 season.
Having won 3-1 at West Bromwich Albion in their opening match, the Hammers hosted the Foxes at Little Heath on Saturday.
Despite creating a host of chances in the second half, Steve Potts' side were unable to break down the visitors. At the same time, the Hammers were given a big let-off when Leicester missed a first-half penalty.
After a quiet opening 40 minutes, the game sprang into life when Alex Pike was penalised and Leicester were awarded a spot-kick, only for the ball to be blasted over the crossbar by the taker.
Into the second half and Leicester saw two further efforts blocked before West Ham took control and almost nicked all three points late on.
With 19 minutes remaining, Pike's cross was inches from being converted by striker Jordan Brown. Two minutes later, a cut-back found Grady Diangana, but the midfielder was unable to replicate the goal he netted at West Brom as he was dispossessed as he prepared to shoot.
With seven minutes to go, Brown saw his shot saved, before Pike suffered the same disappointment with just three minutes left on the clock.
The Hammers' youngsters return to action at Little Heath on Saturday 30 August, when they host Tottenham Hotspur in an 11am kick-off. Parking and admission at the Academy of Football are both FREE!
