West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce, winger Stewart Downing, new signing Aaron Cresswell and 2012 Wembley hero Ricardo Vaz Te took part in an informative Q&A with Season Ticket Holders at the Circus Tavern in Purfleet on Tuesday night.
Season Ticket Holders turned out in numbers as they had the chance to pose questions on the eve of the new Barclays Premier League season.
The evening started with autograph and photo opportunities with the manager and players before they were introduced to the crowd.
Questions were then invited from the floor, with Big Sam and the three players answering queries for an hour, ranging from how pre-season had gone, to the manager's plans for a more attacking style this season and his new signings.
Allardyce explained the lengths that the Hammers went to in order to secure Enner Valencia's signature after tracking him for more than a year.
The whole panel spoke of their hopes for a top ten finish this season, while both Downing and Vaz Te revealed their desire to score more goals in 2014/15.
Summer arrival Cresswell enjoyed the experience of meeting his new supporters.
He said: "It's the first one of these events I've had since I signed here, so to meet the fans and interact with them was very enjoyable.
"The fans have been brilliant with me since I walked through the door. We travelled to New Zealand earlier in the summer, and there were thousands of fans out there, and it's great to meet the fans back home now too."
