Diego Poyet is hoping to get his first Boleyn Ground experience when West Ham United take on Sampdoria on Saturday.
The young midfielder was a summer arrival from Charlton Athletic and has been heavily involved with the first team this summer.
Having completed their programme of fixtures abroad, the Hammers return home on Saturday - with tickets available at the gate - and Poyet cannot wait.
"Fingers crossed I'll get my first game at the Boleyn Ground on Saturday," he said.
"It's still a pre-season game and I'm not sure what the gaffer is intending to do but if I get the chance to play it'll be great.
"We've had all our pre-season games up to now away or abroad, so to play my first game at the Boleyn Ground would be a good one to tick off!
"I'm not too sure what to expect from Sampdoria, but I know it'll be a tough game.
"It'll be a diffeent test to what we had in New Zealand but one we're all looking forward to."
