West Ham United sealed the season-long loan signing of England full-back Carl Jenkinson from Barclays Premier League rivals Arsenal on 31 July 2014.

The 22-year-old right-back opted to join the Hammers after the Club beat off competition from several of their Barclays Premier League rivals to secure his services.

He joins Guy Demel and Joey O'Brien in competing for the right-back slot and will be hoping to build on three years of progress with the Gunners.

2014/15

Suffered a hamstring injury in the Schalke Cup defeat to Malaga CF, ruling him out of the start of he campaign...Made his debut from the bench on 15 September 2014 in a 2-2 draw at Hull City...Started for the first time as West Ham defeated QPR on 5 October 2014.

Before West Ham

Began his career at Charlton Athletic, where he enjoyed a fantastic 2010/11 season before being snapped up by Arsenal at the age of 19 in June 2011...given an early chance to impress at the Emirates Stadium, making his competitive debut in a UEFA Champions League qualifier against Udinese in August 2011, and has totalled 57 first-team appearances for the Gunners...scored his first goal in senior football in a 2-0 victory over Norwich City on the final day of the 2013/14 season...has also played 12 times in the Champions League, helping the north London side reach the Round of 16 in each of the last two campaigns...Internationally,he played at age-group level both for England and Finland - the country of his mother's birth. However, in 2012 he decided to commit his international future for England and made his debut for Roy Hodgson's side in a friendly defeat to Sweden in Stockholm that November...he has since been capped five times by England U21s, having previously turned out three times for Finaland at the same level in 2011.
