Jamie Harney expects the Development Squad to face a tough test on Monday night when they go in search of back-to-back wins in the Barclays U21 Premier League against Bolton Wanderers.
Victory against Middlesbrough last time out ended a run of two straight defeats following losses against Liverpool and Arsenal and kept alive the side's hopes of finishing in the top four places which would qualify them for the season-ending Play-Offs.
With the season drawing to a close and just two matches left to play after facing the Trotters, the centre-back knows every point matters at this stage of the campaign as Nick Haycock's team head to the County Ground.
He told West Ham TV: "We're expecting a hard, physical game and all the lads will have to be on it from the start. Bolton's a difficult place to go up to, but we go into the game off the back of a victory and hopefully we can get another win.
"We have to make sure we go out there and give our best which would make the long journey home that bit more enjoyable.
"Anything's possible. There are a few games left and all we can do is win our next few games and hope that a few results go our way. All we can do is take care of our results and make sure we get the three points."
The Northern Ireland age-group international played alongside Reece Burke in the heart of the Hammers' defence and came close to scoring as the U21s earned a 2-1 victory against Middlesbrough.
Jordan Brown scored the opener against the Teesiders before laying on the winner for Kieran Sadlier to follow up his two goals against Arsenal in the preceding game and Harney had nothing but praise for the forward's contribution.
"Jordan's been quality for us, he's been on flames. In the last few games he played for the U18s he was bullying defenders, scoring goals and he's bought that through into the U21s.
"He's been impressing the coaches and showing them that he's able to play at that level and hopefully he can keep up that level of performance."
The Boleyn Ground played host to the win which moved the young Hammers up to seventh in the table, just three points off a top-four spot.
Harney enjoyed the experience of plying his trade in the Club's home stadium and is hopeful of appearing there more often in the future.
"It was a great experience. Ultimately, we all want to play in the first-team and that's where they play their home games. We want to show what we're capable of on a stage like that in front of a bigger crowd and with first-team managers watching on. It's with good performances like that which will catch the eye of the gaffer.
"That's what we want to do every week. It's the aim for every young footballer at this Club to play football there for West Ham United. For all of us it was a great experience and good to get a win with a good team performance."
The defender is now fully focused on Monday night's fixture against the team who currently occupy 14th place in the division.
"We've got a tough few games coming up, Bolton away on Monday which is a big game for us and one which we can hopefully get a win out of. We need to finish as strongly as we can."
