West Ham United made it seven matches unbeaten with a 3-1 Barclays U18 Premier League victory over Aston Villa.
The Hammers continued their fine form with a deserved win at Little Heath, with two goals from trialist Jaanai Gordon and yet another from captain Kieran Bywater.
Gordon, a 17-year-old who has made three first-team appearances for Sky Bet League One side Peterborough United this season, equalised just 60 seconds after Villa had taken a 16th-minute lead from the penalty spot. The penalty had been given away by England U18 international defender Reece Burke.
The trialist put the Hammers in front seven minutes before half-time before Bywater ensured victory for Steve Potts' team 13 minutes from full-time.
Saturday's victory was West Ham's fifth in seven matches and ended a run of two draws. Potts' side will be on the road again on Saturday 16 November, when they travel to Reading.
The Hammers also have an FA Youth Cup third-round tie to look forward to, with either Ilkeston or Accrington Stanley hosting the three-time winners before Saturday 21 December.
