Newham Men's Health Month

Did you know Newham currently has the second highest cardiovascular disease mortality rate in London? Men living in Newham are nearly twice as likely to die early from heart disease than the London average, and the risk is even higher for women.

Working in partnership with NHS East London and the City and London Borough of Newham, the British Heart Foundation are investing £1.5 million in improving the heart health of the local Newham community.

In support of their work and Newham's 'Men's Health Month', West Ham United will be hosting two fantastic events in the local area throughout March.

Aimed at men between the ages of 18-45 and who live in the London Borough of Newham, each event will have the British Heart Foundation representatives on hand to answer your concerns.

You can get involved with physical activity taster sessions and health programmes for young men with West Ham United coaches at the WHU Community Trust Sports Centre in Beckton on Saturday 23 March from 11am-1pm.

Alternatively you can join us in the Club 66 Lounge at Upton Park on Tuesday 26 March for an educational session, plus a fitness Q&A with a first team player.

Both events are free of charge to attend so why not book your place today. You can contact Tania McKay on 0207 473 7720 or email [email protected]
